Someone like you.
I get stuck by moments I lived with someone. It might be a simple moment or something big, but usually, it's - in all the same - a moment that I define as not able to be translated to words, because it was simply great.
But then, I get hurt. By the person with who I lived that incredible moment with. And suddenly, I am stuck by that great moment we lived before. And all that person did that hurt me, is blocked away by that moment we lived together. Because I simply can't forget. Because I find it hard to believe that, someone with who I shared that moment that got stuck inside me, would do something that ends up hurting me.
It feels like a cicle. Someone hurts me deeply. But before that, something incredible happens between that person and I. And all I can think about, is that moment we had together and how is it possible for that person to be the same person that hurt me. I see the moment above the hurt. Even knowing I shouldn't. Even trying really hard not to.
I simply hate not talking to you. I hate that I had to delete all of your messages. I hate that I have to remember myself, everytime, the reason why I should not go talk to you. I hate it. I hate the fact that you, the guy that said all the things you said to me, is the same guy that - in a way - broke my heart. I hate it. I hate how you always find a way back, when I feel like I am close to the done point. I hate the fact that the sweet guy I met, is also, the same not sweet guy to other people; to people that should matter the most. I hate how you always come back saying the right things and smiling that smile of yours. I hate how I get drowned by your eyes. I hate it. I hate knowing the right thing to do, is to say goodbye to you.
I hate having to keep forgetting. I hate having to stop myself from remembering. I hate how I always end up being that girl, no matter how much I try not to.
It hurts. It hurts to forget.
It hurts to remember.
It hurts being stuck in moments.
When those moments, are the moments I had with you.

"Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Well, I've been afraid of changing cause I've
Built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older, too"

One week only.

Looking back, that right now change could have hurt like nothing you had ever felt before, if you were younger. Your younger self would have tried anything to go back, so nothing would be different. Your younger self would not settle with that situation. But you weren't your younger self. And you lived that before. And you looked on those years and realised all you should have done and didn't. All you should have said and didn't. But, also, everything you shouldn't have done and did it, anyway. How could so much time pass by and, no matter how many years you saw go by, you still saw the past like if had just happened? Like a recent yesterday.
You had been walking for an hour when you finally found him.
He was in a really old bench, staring intently to his shoes.
As he began to trail his eyes along the ground and it finally landed on your shoes, you saw his eyes follow all the draw of your body, until it finally met your eyes. You wanted to go there. You wanted to hug him. You wanted to hold onto that recent yesterday, you wanted to tell to screw tomorrow and being the grown up. You wanted to tell him about what was happening, you wanted to hear his voice, you wanted for him to tell you what to do and how he would always stand up for you, even when you couldn't stand up for yourself.
But you didn't.
You just stared at each other, like old friends who simply didn't have anything else to tell one another.
And he smiled at you. And you smiled back.
And as you waved, saying goodbye, thinking how you would always remember his eyes, you felt everything would be okay.
You would be okay.
With or without someone you didn't want to see leaving you, some moments would never be lost. And you would find yourself, eventually, understanding that, sometimes, being alone, no matter what was the situation, was after all, the best situation.
Your best situation.
Missing someone was just part of the situation.

Maybe it just wasn't her day.
- Hi.
Correction, it, definitly, wasn't her day.
One year had gone by since the last time she had actually heard that voice. One year since that night in which everything ended so badly. One year since she had cried like she didn't even know she could. One year since she had last seen those blue eyes, and one year since she had forgotten how those eyes could make her feel.
- Hey.
He looked good. He looked happy. He looked everything she hoped for a year he wouldn't when they met again. It was weird, actually. For a whole year she imagined what would be like to see him again. To talk to him again. Would she say something stupid? Would she feel strange? Would those eyes of him make her melt again?
- How have you been?
Yes, definitly would make her melt again.
What had happened to them? Why were they having this polite conversation? She wanted him to call her brunette like he always did. She wanted to call him weird like she did everytime he would insist on eating something disgusting.
- I've been good...you?
It was ironic. The place where they had met in first place, being the same place they would first meet after everything was done and said. After everything was over.
- I...I've been good too. I actually remembered you last week, I passed by that place which you would always talk about their lemon ice cream? Decided to finally give it a shot.
What was she supposed to do? Go on with this...thing they were pretending to be a conversation? To say goodbye one more time? To see him leaving again?
- Liked?
- I...I loved it.
- I am glad you did.
So, this was the moment where both would stop talking, that weird silence would stay and he, once again, would leave? She really shouldn't have left her house in the first place that morning.
- I am sorry.
And suddenlly, it all stopped. As she looked at him, she saw something - he was broken too. Broken just like she was.
- I am not.
And as she half smiled at him, and their eyes locked and he sent her the smile he knew was her favorite, something felt right again. And it felt right again when he sat down with her.
And maybe, just maybe, they would stop hurting, after all.
Together.

I never told you.
Eu sou o cara ruim. É assim que me descrevem.

When you have to let it out.
You were tired. More than anything that day, you were tired.
It was hard explaining what you really had, when not even you knew. You felt messy. Maybe that would be the word you were looking for - messy. Or, maybe, complicated, mad, frustrated, none seemed enough.
You couldn't put words in order. You couldn't say what you were actually thinking and you didn't know how to put that in paper. It felt like anything you read was talking to you, your thoughts and you were mad, all the freaking time. And, suddenly, you found yourself lost. Just lost.
Getting lost, you realised, was much easier than staying in the same place, no matter how familiar and known that place was. You also realised that, once you got lost, that feeling would not leave, it would have strong moments and weak moments; moments you didn't realise it was there and moments that it was all you realised. It left you tired; angry; frustrated. More than anything, it left you angry. And that itself would be by your side every day, choosing all the wrong moments it could to make you let it out. It made you want to say things you knew you shouldn't and couldn't, without caring about consequences or anything, for the matter.
But you couldn't say anything. All you could do was let the feeling inside of you stay, because, for a while, there was nothing you can do.
When someone finally looked at you, hugged you and told you that, even if things were going to be alright, even though it would all pass, even if you knew that yourself, there was nothing wrong to let that out, you looked at him with eyes of someone who needed to be told to stop and go back; you looked at him with eyes of gratitude. You looked at him with eyes full of tears.
And you let go.
And how much you cried.
