One last word.

I will definitly see you again,
and bring it on,

C.

"Forgetfull".

Its written in our tomorrow, as a present from our yesterday - We forget. We forget what we ate last night, we forget the last word we spoke to a random stranger, and we forget if we did what we were supposed to do that day.
But there are some things, things that, along time, we shouldn't forget but we do it, anyway. We forget words that we should remember every day. We forget a smile. And, soon, we forget a face. Here is what comes with forgetting - you also become "forgetfull" for someone out there. Someone you hope won't do so. And the feeling about being forgotten is different. It doesn't actually makes any sound. It's like that whisper, you barely heard but, with no doubts, happened.
And when the only person you never forgot, or will ever forget, forgets you, that, right there, hurts more than anything else.
You become "forgetfull" for someone unforgetfull. To the one person you hoped would never forget. And that, just that, simply changes everything.
Whatever everything means.

"I am impossible to forget, but hard to remember" - Elizabethtown.

Me, Myself and I.

I always thought I knew a lot at the same time I thought I knew nothing. Who I was, what I did, what I tried to be - As years went by, It became just one, big, doubt. Still is. Selfish, I know, but I live with my thoughts more than I live with anyone else. And they never leave, no matter the other thousand thoughts in my head. Once in a while, it goes back and forth, like a cycle, made only to keep me wondering. Whenever it can.
And, whenever I can, to say who am I, is to say silence. There are times that, to say who am I, is to say past. Times that, to say who am I, is to say how I would like to be seen as. And there are times that, to say who am I, is to say who I hope to, someday, be.
I was never worried about being uncommon. This thought only came to me growing up, when I would watch people become more and more alike, and my fear to be just like them, started to grow with me. But, no matter how much I wanted to be different, truth is, I never was. I liked the main couple of the movies and I would find unfair when people would think of them with someone else than not each other. My favorite ice cream was flocus, and there was a time that it was chocolate, just like there was a time that my favorite color was pink. I just loved sports and my favorite book was a comic one - Turma da Mônica. I liked jumping trees, and I loved to ride my grandpa's horse, whose name was Star, and which I adored the name, even though I was never actually able to see the star in its head at all. I would never eat a brown or red or pink M&M as the last one, because I truly believed that my heart would became the same color as the last one I ate. And I would encorporate what each color meant. If I could, I would miss dinner just to watch Chiquititas and I never, ever, ever watched Barney or knew any of those songs. All I knew was that, one day, Nino finally got friends and that Zequinha could be unbelievably annoying. And to me, family was my Dad, and my mom, and my sister, and my aunt, and my uncle, and my cousin, and my grandma, and my grandpa, and my grandma's brother and his wife. And I waited, I confess, for the time in the night, where I would finally go to my Dad to ask him to tell us "a little story" before bed. And he did, for twelve years straight, no matter how late he got home or how tired he was.
I was never an unusual girl. I always talked like there was no tomorrow, and I suffered from the same heartbreak longer than I probably should. It's hard for me to say I am sorry sometimes, and my mouth works before my brain always when it's not supposed to. After a long time looking, I finally found friends that are real and that, no matter where life takes us, I will always call as my best friends, because they were my high school and they made it great for me. I live to catch moments and pictures speak memories to me. I soundtrack every step of my life. And, every time I listen a song, it feels like it can draw me. I despise goodbyes more than I probably should. And I can not describe myself besides superficial facts.
I am not different. I am like anyone else. But, after every back and forth my brain has made, it came to one stop - I am different for the people I have with me. Nothing more than that. When I look next to me, I see them. When I look behind, I see them. When I look foward, for an unkown and unsure future, I still hope to see them. And that made me realise that it's not about having an answer. It's not about perfection. It's not about always having the best moments or being different. It's about just being. It's about having someone besides you to hear and talk to. It's about being real. As cliche as it sounds.
This is what I came to, after all, as simples as it is - We don't need to be different, because as long as we recognize ouselves, we don't need to be recognized in a crowd full of people. And we don't need answers.
We simply live them.

It's the same in any language.

And time stops.
Slow and fast, all the same.
You jump into it, as if it's one of those moments you try to live for. No reasons, no second thoughts, no why or how, you are just there, like you hoped you would, even thought you were never able to admit this out loud.
"Don't hold your breath" you hear. "I won't" you say, even knowing you already have.
There is an amount of words stuck inside you, like a friday night where you stayed home, when you should be anywhere else, anywhere but where you were right in that moment.
You were hurt for too long and, when you realised that, more than enough time had passed. There was no more room for anger. There was no more room for hurt. You were tired. You were so tired.
You had to hold your breath. You had to, or else, you wouldn't be able to do what you had to do. To say what you had to say. To look into his eyes and have everything done, no more left overs, no more dreams who would do what you didn't have the guts to, no more 'what ifs'. To be able to do at least one thing, from all the others you had to.

Goodbye, C.

I blamed you for two whole years. I blamed myself longer. I missed you, like I never though I could. I also disliked you, like I never though I could. I tried many times to hate you, with everything I had. I never did. But, at one point, just your name would make me mad. Hurt. You hurt me in a way I wasn't aware I could get hurt. You changed. And this part, I just though you should know. Another thing you should just know, is that you weren't just passion. But truth is that there is really just one more thing I wanted to say to you. Only one thing left to say that, I may admit, I probably ignored.
I should have tried harder, maybe, possibly. We were best friends and I gave up on you. I left you, even though there were many times where I tried to stay. One of those times, I just let go. I still left you. I wasn't there for you, and I was so hurt that I just couldn't keep trying. To me, there was no more risk to take. You deserved better. Maybe, you deserved more chances. Maybe, you deserved a better person to stick for you, with you. Maybe, I shouldn't have cut all contacted we had. Maybe, I should have beem more mature, maybe I shouldn't. There are a lot of maybes in my life, especially when it comes to you. But I stopped blaming myself, and I stopped blaming you. Even blaming became something much bigger than expected. But only time made me see all, and only time put me on my feet and own control again. Here it is, with all we lived together, moments, laughs, sadness, years and years side by side... I am sorry.
I am so sorry.
Goodbye, D.

Algumas vezes, as pessoas pensam diferente.

Keep giving you up.

in the dead of the night.
Although we both lie close together
We feel miles apart inside"

At one point it came all down.
His eyes were just it - eyes. Colorful like millions out there.
His smile had no special shine. It was simple, white and nothing that, if he was a stranger, would make you stop and take a real look.
His laugh was loud. And so was yours, your friends, and that stranger passing you.
The way he talked was no different than the rest. The only reason you, someday, could not stop paying attention to, was because it was him talking.
His jokes were just it. Jokes. It wasn't him who invented. Sometimes, you would already heard it and, if not, given time you would end up listening again from someone else.
When he told you his secrets, so did his friend, and his other friend. He was not the only one. Just like, he wasn't the only one who knew yours.
His looks didn't say anything about him. He wasn't the most atractive and, certainly, the whole shaking thing that you had inside of you once was not because of it. There were better looking guys right next to you.
Suddenly it was simple. He was just a guy. He was no different than the guy next door, or funnier than the boy sitting behind you in class.
What you also realised was that, all those simplicities were what had made you love him. Each one of them. And as you saw that, two years passed by, and each reason to love him, became a reason to stop loving him.
Putting all the reasons together it wasn't complicated to see past it. But, putting all the reasons together, It, also, could not get any more complicated.
Did it make any difference, after all?

Rotina. ...Rotina?

Seis e meia da manhã acordou. Fingiu ter levantado por dez minutos. Viu a hora. Realmente levantou. Abriu a porta do quintal. Colocou seu all star. Ligou seu Ipod. Entrou no carro. Seguiu para a escola.
Duas aulas. Seu professor de história faltou. Intervalo. Risadas. Sinal. As duas classes se juntam. Bagunça. Um pouco de desconforto. Intervalo.
Conversas. Risadas. Histórias de professores. Perdeu a aula teórica. Ela chegou. Entrou no carro. Ligou o Ipod.

Let It Be.

A part of me always thought that, at some point, It would end. That some things are not meant to always happen, that some moments are not meant to keep hurting. That some memories, are supposed to be forgotten over time and that, there is a limit for a heart to be broken. The truth? There is not. A heart can be broken over and over again. There is not a limit. It just goes on. By the same person, over and over again, time after time. Then, by someone else. By a moment. By a memorie. It never stops.
The funny part about a heart with no limits is that you can not let it bother you. If you do, there will always be someone who finds you weak, even if this someone was never alone. By this point, It doesn't matter for how long you have been by yourself or even if someday you actually had someone, you have to not care, so this way - in other people's eyes - you are not wrong.
Another funny part about a heart with no limits is that, after some time, it's not about you not letting anyone in. It's about not knowing how. The first time you do it to protect yourself. The second, for fear. The third, for missing words. And, suddenly, no matter how much you try to let yourself go, you have no idea where to begin.
Another detail - one used to hold you still - is that memories hunt you. They hunt you by songs, and by looks and even by colors. They hunt you until what you was forced to forget comes back. And it always comes back. No matter how much you try not to. That is another important detail - It will never be up to you.
One thing people should know is that a heart is like a map. Leaving a place does not mean you have never been there before. If you look at the end of the map, the part where you once were and had been forgotten, is still there. It only means you took another step. You moved from where you were before. But that place, it's marked, because it happened. And, some way, it's still there. Like a scar. And despite of what people say, time do not heal a scar but, somehow, even the angriest scars gets smaller and smaller until you can barelly see it at all. The only thing that stays is the memorie of how painful it was. Also, after so long walking, there is a time that when you look at the map and see where you have been once, you can not remember how to feel that way being where you are now.
Finally, there is the moment where you get to the end of the road. You are at your destination and that is it. Thing is, that part, in the beggining, can not feel alright with this just being it. With keeping getting your heart broken by the same person. With only meeting the wrong ones. All you can think is that there must be a limit for a heart to be broken so many times. That one place, can not keep you from trusting and going and trying. That a scar can not stay there and stop you every single time. And because of this thought, you take another rode, a leap of faith. Because you know that limits don't exist. Because you know that there is no safety net. Because you know, that in just one wrong turn, It can all go down again. Because you know how much it hurt each time, and how it can hurt again, even more. But you go. You go to give yourself another shot. You go until you can't see the rode behind you anymore. You go until there is only the map there to remind you the places you crossed and more important, that you actually crossed them.

"And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree, There will be an answer, let it be... For though they may be parted, There is still a chance that they will see... There will be an answer let it be... Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be... There will be an answer, let it be..."

You right there and I, right here.

Sabe qual o problema? Você me fez insegura.
Eles, infelizmente, viraram raiva. E viraram medo. Mais do que tudo, eles viraram medo. Medo do de novo. Medo do replay.

Dear Juliet,

I am not sure what this means. And I am not sure what I am doing here. I don't know why I am doing this, but I felt I had to.
People usually laugh when I tell them this, but when I was four or five, I would watch as much as I could my parent's marriage. It was either The little mermaid, or that old tape. Thing is, the reason I watched it wasn't for the romance. I loved the music - It wasn't the usual, traditional one - it had a soft beat. I loved how everytime I was watching it, my mother would start telling about what the hell had that woman done with her hair - There were flowers everywhere. I loved to watch how the groom - my father - would look at the bride - my mother. That look is what kept me on my feet fifteen years later. Because of that tape, every time I am at a wedding I can't help but look at the groom at the end of the aisle in the very moment the bride comes in. Doesn't matter how silly it is, or it means. It's actually the only part of the wedding I like - when they look at each other in a way where there's only both in the room with a lifetime time waiting for them.
I read once that love is being able to listen the laugh during the storm. That love, is when your half wears different kinds of socks and you find it adorable. That, love, is when you lick the whole yogurt and he laughs at you, licking it off of your nose. That love is when two flowers open, when the sky turns dark and when the rain falls and the two halfs keep themselves as one. At some point, that sounded simple. Hard, but simple.
I have only been in love once.
Did I tell you how much I love Ice Cream? I love Ice Cream. I call it the food of Gods. My favorite is flocus. Ice Cream is like my pizza - I can't not have it - But it's more necessary. I don't feel always the need to have it - like I do with pizza - but when I am not okay, it's what makes everything better.
I loved him more than Flocus' Ice Cream. I loved the way he smiled, I loved the way he talked, I loved the way I felt when he was around even if I never admited out loud. I loved how everything felt alright just with him being close. I loved the feeling of being in love at the same time I hated. I loved him.
But loving someone isn't enough sometimes. Sometimes it's just a feeling and even though it hurts so much, you have to make yourself let go. And I did. It actually felt good. I could look at him and don't feel anything, at all. I could pass by him and not need to look into his eyes. My heart wouldn't beat so fast anymore. My hands didn't sweat so much every time he was near. I could keep myself together with no problem.
Thing is, time passed and I forgot what the feeling of being in love is. I know what happens, and what I will probably feel if it happens again, but I don't remember the feeling. I can't replay it in my head anymore. I can't know exactly what it is like to be in love anymore. And I miss that. I miss the smiles and I miss the stealing looks. I miss what those things meant. I miss what those things would make happen inside of me. I miss the butterflies. And today, I am so full of walls, I don't actually let myself feel those things anymore. I protect myself. And this...well, this is wrong.
I felt that kind of love one day. It may have been platonic, but I did. The kind that keeps you going. That makes you wanna go to school to see his eyes one more time. The kind that, just to think of him with someone else, you feel something you never thought you could. The kind that you would do everything to have just one more conversation with him. One more smile. One more hug.
So, I guess I admire you, Juliet. Cause, at the same time you can be everything I hate, you are also everything I hope in people. You didn't give up. You didn't stop yourself. People are so afraid of loving today, of getting hurt, or of hurting people, that they simply forget to feel. To let go. To give themselves a chance. To let themselves fall in love. To give time for it to happen.
I once heard that in the end, you won't think about all the money you made, or how you had the perfect job. You will think about who was by your side. And, probably, that is true.
For that, here is the thing - I still believe in love. Maybe not the happilly ever after, but I believe in love. It got hard for me at one point to believe, It just didn't feel real anymore. When everything around you falls apart, and you are still alone (in that kind of way), it's not easy to keep believing. But I do. I believe that there are people who love each other and I believe that, even though thinking there is someone out there who completes you is a complete lie - No one should carry such a heavy position in your life - I believe that there are people who complement the other; People that are already complete without needing anyone to do that and when they find someone, that person is a plus. I believe people who have a world of chances to someone else.
I believe giving youself a chance is always valid. And I believe that it's never too late. I believe you have to tell the people you love that you do love them, before it's too late, doesn't matter if that makes you feel vulnerable. I believe second chances won't hold itselfs there forever and you have to grab it before it's too late. I believe 'too late' and 'What if' are things that will mean a lifetime of questions if you don't give it a chance. I believe heartbreaks are worth it when it means you at least tried. I believe sometimes you have to take the risk or else the line creep up on you, and before you know it, you are standing on the other side. I believe belief is necessary. I believe being careful is important. I believe that those novel things - of marrying after only being together for weeks, because they believe they found their soulmates - is crap. I believe love has its own time.
Most important, I believe I love Yous are forever. People change, feelings change, but when you loved someone once, it's there. A different kind of love, but its still love.
I believe that you don't need to always think about tomorrow or what it means when you are with someone. I believe in just being there, and smelling his cologne and remembering his taste.
I believe goodbyes sometimes are necessary.
I believe writting a letter to someone who does not exist is - crazy - but something that makes you look around and see things maybe a little better.
I believe I will have my evangeline. I believe happy endings or magnifics endings don't make a story the best ever told. And despite everything, I believe the greatest story ever told, is our own.

Home.

A verdade?
Eu quero as coisas que me fizeram, me definiram, aqui, do meu lado.
Eu quero o Para Sempre. Eu quero que o tempo se mantenha. Eu não quero que ele passe. Eu quero o Pó mágico. Peter Pan? Sininho? Alguém?

What should have been said.

I can't talk.

What happened? Why don't you say anything?
I can't talk. Anything about what?

When did this happen?
I can't talk. Nothing happened.

Why did you cry?
I'm weak. Hormones.

Why don't you just let go?
I just can't let you down. Let go of what?

How are you gonna be okay if you don't let yourself feel?
I don't know. I do feel.

Why can't you just say what is wrong?
I don't know how. There is nothing wrong.

You need to live one day after the other.
I already do. Ok.

Was there something that made you like this?
Yes. No.

Is there anything I can do?
Yes. No.

That is it? Then, I guess I am gonna go now.
No. Please, stay. Sure.

Bye then.
I am sorry. See ya.

You know, whenever you need to, just talk to me, okay?
I can't talk. How the hell am I supposed to re-learn now? I just want you to hug me.
I just want you to hug me, and never let go.
Of course.

Bye.
I...Bye.

You just Jump.

The storm's all about who you become, and how you dance in the rain. You go, go, go, and never stops. Never look behind. But after all, why would you? It always gets you somewhere. Even if it's not the prettiest place. You are always a different person that you were when the storm began. And maybe...just maybe..that is already worth it enough.

"Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn't something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you. This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn't get in, and walk through it, step by step. There's no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That's the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine.
And you really will have to make it through that violent, metaphysical, symbolic storm. No matter how metaphysical or symbolic it might be, make no mistake about it: it will cut through flesh like a thousand razor blades. People will bleed there, and you will bleed too. Hot, red blood. You'll catch that blood in your hands, your own blood and the blood of others.
And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about." — Haruki Murakami

Love Never Lasts.

There was something about that kiss. There was something about the way he kissed you, quick, and certain it would happen again. Certain it wasn't the last time.
That day hadn't turned out the way you thought it would, at all. One minute you were walking, laughing with your friends and the other you looked up, crossed his eyes, and he sent you that smile that would make you smile without even realising.
Suddenly you were talking. Suddenly he was Hugging you. Suddenly you were hugging him back. Suddenly you couldn't look away from his eyes, and suddenly you couldn't stop talking to each other.
Suddenly a whole day had passed, and you didn't feel like you had missed a moment.
Suddenly you were in an airplane and He was right next to you, and you were still talking. You were confortable, laying your head in his shoulder, playing with his hands and once in a while laughing about something he said. Other times, silence would feel enough.
Next to you there were many people who you had traveled with, and once in a while, you would turn to their side, talk, laugh, talk some more, he would join you, and later you would go back to how it was before.
Suddenly, the plane landed, he looked at you and smiled while you said "We are home!".
He helped you get up, held your waist and with one hand in your neck, kissed you.
There was something about the way it felt like something that should have happened before. Something about the way he looked at you, and something about the way he smiled at you.
And then, You woke up.

It was always this whole cicle with me.
Me and Boy. Boy is funny. Boy is my friend. Boy is my best friend. Boy sends me a kiss. I can't send it back. I don't show my feelings. I don't know how. When I do so, I feel silly. Boy makes me laugh. Boy laughs at my attempt of making a good joke. I smile when I see his smile. I laugh when I hear his laugh. Boy hugs me. I hug him back. Boy holds me tight. I feel safe.
Boy don't talk so much anymore. Boy don't come look for me anymore. Boy don't make me laugh anymore. Boy don't give me hugs anymore. Boy comes talk to me to ask about something he needs. I answer. Boy sits next to me. I talk to boy for hours. Boy laughs because I fell. Boy makes a joke. I tease him. I think everything is back to normal. Boy treats me different. Boy starts do become a stranger. I try to talk to boy. I don't know how. Boy let go. I wonder if boy misses me too. Boy become only a person I know. I get mad. I get hurt. I realise I am in love with the boy. Boy is in love with another girl. I cut him out of my life. I become part of the group boy makes fun of. I start disliking the boy. Boy becomes a playboy. Boy don't smile the way he used to anymore. I don't laugh at his jokes anymore. Boy changes. I change. Me and Boy become only two people who are in the same space. Boy is not who he used to be anymore. I am not who I used to be anymore. Boy hurts me again. I don't show it. I start to hate the boy. I try to hate him. I finally let go. I realise I actually loved that boy. Boy becomes an old memory. Boy is a bitter and good old memory altogether. I meet a new boy.

“I try to talk to you, but I don't know what to say. I am afraid you don't want me to say anything. So I don't. But inside of me there are words waiting to come out. And tell you how I feel-like how I miss you. And how I love you despite my broken heart. And how I need you in my life. And especially how much I want you. But those words may forever stay in my heart-locked inside. Sometimes I wonder if there are words locked inside you too... but I'll never know.”

Life doesn't give second chances.

E quando ele a encontrou - viva e enterrada - a única coisa que ela disse pelo momento foi "Tell him, Live or Dead, I love him".

When You Have to Stop being Selfish.

It was so loud, that you barelly could hear the sound of your own thoughts. You kept walking, first puting your shorts and then your sandals, and when your hand was free, it would go straight to your heart, like you were holding it, hoping that this way, it would make things better.
There was something about that moment, about the look she had in her eyes - one you were already familiar with - that made you hold yourself in front of that door, deciding or not if letting go and leaving would actually make things easier.
You learn when you are little that life can't be seen as the way you expect it. That the moments - the ones that keep you going- won't always be there, and that it's something you have to look for, because if you don't, they will never exist. They will never be real. And that, in those moments it's not up to your want, or your hopes, it's about doing the right thing. And between the right choice and the wrong, there is a lifetime. And once you have to face it, millions of thoughts, and millions of minutes you lived passes through you head. And also the ones you didn't yet.
Maybe that is what made you stay where you were. Maybe that is what set your mind and told you to stop being selfish and do what was right. Maybe that is what made you look in her eyes, and made you ask your biggest fear. Maybe that is what kept you still, and what left time hanging hoping for an answer, whatever it would be.
While you grow up, you learn what unhappiness means little by little. That, be unhappy, means that there wasn't a moment worth it, and that when you look behind you can't see laughter. There is a point where you realize that today won't always be happy, and it won't always be funny. And how you hope to pass throught it, is up to you.
Yesterday may have been full of laughter or full of cry, just how it can be tomorrow. You will never know. And to say you are unhappy means that you do know, and that you can't hope for a better day any longer.
Unhappiness is unfair, and unhappines is real just if you want it to be.
After you asked her, after the silence, you left that room and you went straight to your bedroom, and locked the door.
You sat in your bed, and you started trying to get your breath back.
That, right there, is the moment you realise that you will lose your breath again, without even knowing, without even hoping for a reason. And that, right there, is when you see you can cope, and you can go on, cause after everything is done and said, you can still get your breath back.
Doesn't matter how long it takes.
